The Mansa Municipal Council has commenced the distribution of cheques and re-verification of physical operating premises for all 250 grants recipients under the 2024 Bahati and Mansa Central Constituency Development Funds valued at K4,656,600.00
The 2024 grants in Bahati Constituency are valued at K2,328,300.00 and are being distributed to 110 clubs and cooperatives. While 140 clubs and cooperatives in Mansa Central Constituency will receive grants amounting to K2,328,300.00.
This is in line with a decision to re-verify clubs and cooperatives’ actual locations when issuing monies following discrepancies observed during monitoring and evaluation of the previous recipients.
During the physical visits, the Local Authority is meeting all the benefiting clubs and cooperatives members and sensitising on the best project management and financial practices.
So far, 2024 grants recipients in Chibeleka Ward have been given their cheques, while Lukangaba Ward and Mushipashi Ward will be visited on Friday, 26th April 2024.
Meanwhile, the grants recipients in Chibeleka Ward have expressed joy at being successful recipients in 2024 and have encouraged other clubs who have not yet been successful to exercise patience and follow ups to remain updated.
