August 21st, 2025-The Mansa Municipal Council, through its Public Health Department, has conducted the burial of an unclaimed body of Mbola Mufwaya Enock.
The body of the deceased was deposited in the Mansa General Hospital Mortuary on 5th June 2025. Since then, extensive efforts were made by Chief Health Inspector Mrs Juliet Nonde to trace the deceased’s relatives or next of kin. These efforts included issuing public notices, liaising with health facilities, and engaging traditional leadership. Unfortunately, all efforts proved unsuccessful.
In line with the provisions of the Public Health Act, Cap 295, Section 27(d) and the Local Government Act No. 2 of 2019, Section 16, subsection (2), paragraph 7(b) of the Laws of Zambia, the Council proceeded to respectfully bury the deceased at the designated Council Cemetery.
The burial was supervised by Health Inspectors Mr. Gibbs Indala and Mrs. Musunga Chibale.
