October, 31st,2025-The Police Public Complaints Commission (PPCC), led by Chairperson Zunga Siakalima, paid a courtesy call on Mansa Municipal Council Town Clerk Dr. Josephine Mwanza at her office this morning.
Following the visit, the delegation proceeded to Council Rest House to hear a case in which Mr. Kaniki Mwape has complained Police Inaction.
Mr. Mwape and his wife, Chipinde Mwape, of Namwandwe area, were allegedly assaulted by seven named police officers. The couple claims they reported the incident to the police, but no action was taken, prompting them to file a complaint with the PPCC.
The hearing is giving both parties an opportunity to present their submissions, after which the Commission will analyze the findings and make its recommendations.
