July 7,2026-The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) is conducting a three-day Early Warning System Training Workshop for District Electoral Officers, District Voter Education and Publicity Coordinators, District Voter Education Trainers, District Voter Education Officers, District Voter Registration Officers and selected members of the District Conflict Management Committee.
The training, being held at Crossroads Hotel in Mansa, has brought together participants from Milenge, Samfya, Chilubi, Lunga and Mansa districts.
In their opening remarks, Luapula Province Electoral Officer Mr. Kambinga Nondo and Mansa District Electoral Officer Dr. Josephine Mwanza noted that the training is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to identify and prevent potential electoral threats and incidents before they escalate into conflict.
The workshop forms part of a nationwide exercise being undertaken by the Commission to strengthen election preparedness ahead of the August 13 General Elections.
