July,22,2026-Mansa Municipal Council, led by Town Clerk Dr. Josephine Mwanza, participated in the Orientation Meeting for the Mid-Term Evaluation of the National Decentralisation Policy Implementation Plan (2023–2027) held in Kawambwa District.
The meeting brought together delegations from Mansa, Chiengi, Nchelenge, Mwense and Samfya districts to strengthen the implementation of Zambia’s decentralization agenda.
The orientation underscored the critical role of decentralization in promoting effective local governance by transferring decision-making and resources closer to the people.
This approach empowers local authorities to deliver public services more efficiently, enhances transparency and accountability, and encourages greater citizen participation in shaping local development priorities.
