MANSA MUNICIPAL COUNCIL INTENSIFIES REVISED CASH FOR WORK SENSITIZATION ACROSS WARDS

Community members in Lwingishi being sensitized on the Rivised Cash for Work

July 23rd,2026-Mansa Municipal Council has intensified community sensitization on the Revised Cash for Work Programme, with successful outreach already conducted in Chansunsu, Musaba, Lwingishi, Mushipashi, Mutuma and Kampemba Wards.

The sensitization exercise is aimed at ensuring that residents clearly understand the objectives, eligibility criteria and implementation process of the programme before the commencement of pool registration for prospective beneficiaries.

This exercise is vital as it promotes transparency, fairness and equal access to the programme, while empowering communities with accurate information and discouraging misinformation and fraudulent activities. Residents are encouraged to actively participate, ask questions and obtain information directly from Council officials and other implementing stakeholders.

The Revised Cash for Work Programme is a Government initiative designed to provide temporary income support to vulnerable households while improving community infrastructure through public works such as drainage clearing, road maintenance, environmental cleaning and other community development activities.

Mansa Municipal Council remains committed to ensuring that no eligible resident is left behind. Community members are therefore encouraged to attend the sensitization meetings in their respective wards and participate in the forthcoming pool registration exercise.

Together, let us build a cleaner, stronger and more resilient Mansa through active community participation.
